33. SMITH, Cathrine Stanley ( 1854- 1914 )

Cathrine  Smith  holds the honour of being the first Burial in the New Bunbury Cemetery  in 1914 at 60 years of age.

She was born in Fremantle , had  8 children and was widowed at the time of her death.

Cathrine was interred in an unmarked grave for over 90 years before Bunbury Cemetery Manager, Pieter Den Boer placed a Memorial Plaque and stone in honour of her placement.

The Memorial can be observed at the Bunbury General Cemetery.
